Darren is a Professional Kanban Trainer based near Belfast, Northern Ireland, who is currently conulting as a Senior Delivery Manager with HM Land Registry in the UK. Darren's Kanban journey started over fifteen years ago, when, as the manager of an infrastructure team, he accidentally discovered Kanban and found it revolutionised how the team operated, by removing the chaos that had been the hallmark of the team's previous process and improving the quality of their work. The team went from having multiple deployment issues every week to virtually zero issues! Since then, Darren has been through various Scrum Master, Agile Coach and Delivery Manager roles, culminating in a Head of Product and Delivery role with the London Borough of Hackney, in addition to doing both public and private Kanban training. Outside of work, Darren's main interests are his family, travel (kind of a necessity when the sea lies between you and your office!) and the Belfast Giants (ice) hockey team.
